Due to retirement and internal promotion we are looking for two candidates to come join our SMSA team who can demonstrate a calm, caring approach and an interest in working with children. Good time keeping and the energy needed to work well as part of a team are vital.

In return, you will join a welcoming, supportive team in a school with a vision for providing outstanding learning for all.

We know just how important it is to think big and to help break those glass ceilings faced by young people today. Together we can encourage our pupils to step out from their comfort zones, build self-esteem and broaden their horizons.

Keen to challenge young people with opportunities they may not even know exists yet? We aim to raise pupils’ aspirations so they begin to believe in themselves and understand that there is no thing holding them back, including where they happen to live or their family’s experience in education.

Our well established team of lunchtime supervisors play a key role in ensuring that our children have happy, safe lunchtimes. We need someone to join us in supporting the children to have fun whilst also promoting good behaviour.

The role involves some light physical duties such as setting up tables and tidying up after the lunch service which are organised on a rota basis, helping children with their eating and encouraging good manners. The rest of the time is spent in the playground, engaging children in safe play which could involve some one to one support.
