The Role

Headteacher - Hareclive E-ACT Academy

We have an exciting opportunity for a Headteacher to join Hareclive E-ACT Academy in September 2022. There is a real buzz about our academy and the rate at which our pupils progress, we are looking for a strong candidate to take on day-to-day leadership and developing/implementing the vision and strategic direction of the academy.

Keen to challenge young people with opportunities they may not even know exists yet? We aim to raise pupils’ aspirations so they begin to believe in themselves and understand that there is no thing holding them back, including where they happen to live or their family’s experience in education. We know just how important it is to think big and to help break those glass ceilings faced by young people today. Together we can encourage our pupils to step out from their comfort zones, build self-esteem and broaden their horizons.

We believe in looking beyond textbooks and whiteboards, and are committed to developing our pupils by enabling them to challenge themselves in new ways and supporting them to maintain their emotional and physical wellbeing. By helping our teachers to develop into leaders within the profession, we know that we are also helping our pupils to develop into the leaders of the future.

Within the role you will be supported by our Regional Operations team, and you will need to provide strategic leadership for overseeing and embedding quality and standards in teaching, learning and assessment across the academy. You will need to be an inspiring role model of good classroom practice, ensure standards of support are effective across all areas of responsibility and set high expectations for staff and students.

We expect the successful candidate to:

  • Have previous experience of leadership
  • Be a team player
  • Have a thorough understanding of school budget
  • Experience of working as part of a MAT would also be beneficial

The contract on offer is permanent and full time, and the salary range for the post is Leadership scale 17-25, however the Trust will consider a competitive salary outside of these scales for the right candidate.

For a full description of the role, see the job description and job specification. We encourage you to get in touch with any questions; better still come and see us for yourself. Visits to the academy are welcomed and tours will be given on selected dates (provided below) by our National Director of Primary Academies.
