The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our supportive and hardworking Team at The Oldham Academy North.  The purpose of this role is to provide technical support to teaching staff and ensure a safe and clean working environment to facilitate high-quality teaching within the faculty.


Reporting to the Head of Faculty, this post holder will

 

  • Assist teachers with preparation of resources and equipment for lesson delivery on a daily basis
  • Assist in lessons as required during practical sessions
  • Develop apparatus and equipment for use in practical sessions and provide technical advice and assistance to teaching staff as required regarding resources for practical work and demonstrations
  • Carry out practical demonstrations in the classroom as required
  • Construct and modify apparatus as required, at the request of teachers in the faculty



Salary: SCP 1 - 3 £16,053 - £16,538 - FTE: £18,333 - £18,887

37 hours per week - 39 weeks per year
