The Role

St Ursula's E-ACT Academy: EYFS Learning Support Assistant (Permanent)

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work within our EYFS team providing general and specific assistance to pupils under the direction, guidance and direct supervision of the classroom teacher. The contract on offer is permanent and full time, and we require the successful candidate to commence employment as soon as onboarding processes are completed.


The salary for the role is Scale Points 5-7 dependant on experience, which equates to an actual salary range of £15,577.51 - £16,206.95 (Full Time Equivalent £19,650 - £20,444)


The successful candidate will:


  • Have experience of working in a EYFS class setting
  • Have a working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and its assessment;
  • Able to inspire and support children to become active, independent thinkers and learners.
  • Able to understand and be sensitive to the needs of very young children.
  • A person who has a strong belief in the effectiveness of teamwork.
  • Committed to high standards of early years classroom practice.
  • Able to positively promote inclusion and have high expectations for all children.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, governors and staff.
  • A play based learning environment where children’s well-being and involvement is paramount
  • Be expected to meet with parents to provide feedback on the pupil’s progression as a key worker
