The Role

Hareclive E-ACT Academy are looking for Learning Support Assistants to commence employment as soon as onboarding processes are complete.


We know just how important it is to think big and to help break those glass ceilings faced by young people today. Together we can encourage our pupils to step out from their comfort zones, build self-esteem and broaden their horizons.

 

Keen to challenge young people with opportunities they may not even know exists yet? We aim to raise pupils’ aspirations so they begin to believe in themselves and understand that there is no thing holding them back, including where they happen to live or their family’s experience in education.


We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to provide general assistance to pupils either in or outside the classroom. The role involves supporting the teacher and pupils both within the classroom and also outside the classroom in small group interventions such as numeracy and literacy.


The successful candidate will have:


  • Demonstrable knowledge of how children learn and how to motivate them
  • Knowledge of speech and language
  • Demonstrable knowledge of strategies for spelling, reading and number skills
  • Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a primary school setting
  • Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs
  • Relevant qualifications for the role (TA2 certificate or equivalent, and Maths/English GCSEs grades A-C).


The contracts on offer are full time (33.5 hours per week) and are fixed term contracts of x1 year with a view to extend. We are looking for candidates to commence employment as soon as onboarding processes are complete. The salary range for the role ranges from scale point 5 - 7 (£15,577.51 - £16,206.95 actual salary, £19,650 - £20,444 full time equivalent).
