Curriculum Technician - Science

We are looking to recruit a professional and dedicated Science Technician to join the team here at the Oldham Academy North. The purpose of this role is to provide technical support to teaching staff and ensure a safe and clean working environment to facilitate high-quality teaching within the faculty.

Key Specific Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with preparation of resources and equipment for lesson delivery on a daily basis
• Develop apparatus and equipment for use in practical sessions and provide technical advice and assistance to teaching staff as required regarding resources for practical work and demonstrations
• Carry out practical demonstrations in the classroom as required
• Construct and modify apparatus as required, at the request of teachers in the faculty
• Retrieve, clear and clean equipment, including disposal of waste material in line with established guidelines
• Audit stock, keep records, order and check deliveries of materials in consultation with the Head of Faculty
