The Role

E-ACT are looking for a passionate People Development Lead to provide support for the Birmingham region consisting of 9 academies, with staffing analysis, performance management, absence management and employee relations.


Reporting to the Head of People Services, the post will be accountable for:


  • Management of the People team in the region
  • Effective management of People Development administration procedures, including responsibility for compliance with Employment policies and regulations
  • Advise on and co-ordinate disciplinary/capability and absence processes as necessary in conjunction with relevant policies, involving appropriate stakeholders i.e. E-ACT HR, external HR contractors and Unions and assemble required documentation.
  • Advise staff on assessment of salaries, expenses, sickness and maternity procedures, redundancy and other matters of dismissal
  • To maintain accurate, up to date staff records to meet E-ACT requirements, ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations, Safeguarding, Single Central Register and associated legislation

About the role:

You will be the first point of contact for the 9 academies we support in the Birmingham region, leading a team of 6 People officers/administrators.

The role will require travel between academies, so a full driving license will be essential.

We are able to offer hybrid working, you will be responsible for managing your own diary, whilst ensuring you visit our academies regularly.
