The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced, IT Business Partner to lead our IT team across a group of our academies in and around the north (Currently Oldham, Manchester & Sheffield)


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic IT leadership, ensuring the reliable operation of IT systems, and managing a team of IT professionals to deliver excellent customer service. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the education sector through the Trusts Digital strategy by facilitating seamless technology integration in our academies. 


The contract on offer is permanent and full time, with an actual salary ranging from £41,496 - £46,549.


  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of IT professionals, including IT Managers, Technicians, network managers, and support staff, across a group of academies. 


  • Strategic Planning: Working in harmony with the Trusts Strategy, implement IT strategies aligned with the educational objectives and goals of the academies. 


  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, security, and optimisation of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and devices. 


  • Project Management: Plan and execute IT projects, such as hardware and software upgrades, network enhancements, and system deployments along with the National Infrastructure & Project Manager. 


  • Technical Support: Provide additional technical support and troubleshooting to resolve IT-related issues within the academies. 


  • Budget Management: Manage the academies IT budget effectively, ensuring cost-efficient use of resources. 


  • Training and Development: Foster the professional growth of team members through training, coaching, and performance evaluations. 


  • Policy Development: Support with the development and enforcement of IT policies and procedures to maintain a secure and compliant IT environment. 


  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including hardware and software inventory, network diagrams, and user manuals.
