The Role

Finance Business Partner


Role base:                      Hybrid / London – time spent in London based schools and working from home 

Salary:                            £60,000.00 pa

We are seeking an experienced, suitably qualified, finance professional to support our London schools and lead our team of Finance Managers. Committed to fostering excellence in education, we are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Finance Business Partner to collaborate with academy leaders and the central finance team, contributing to the financial sustainability and educational success of our academies.


Key responsibilities include:


Financial planning, budget management and analysis


·        Work closely with academy leaders to align financial strategies with overall goals

·        Collaborate with academy leadership teams to develop and monitor annual budgets

·        Prepare monthly financial forecasts , highlighting potential financial implications and recommending actions

·        Provide support and guidance on budgetary decisions, ensuring financial sustainability

·        Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities

·        Present financial insights and recommendations to academy leaders and the central finance team

·        In collaboration with education and finance leaders, establish key performance indicators for financial performance and monitor progress

Leadership.

·        Lead and develop a small team of Finance Managers and assistants

·     Provide financial training and support to finance and academy staff, ensuring a clear understanding of financial processes and

responsibilities

·        Foster effective communication and collaboration between academy leaders and the central finance team

·        Participate in cross-functional team working to address financial challenges and opportunities

·        lead members of the central finance team focused on central budgets monitoring and reporting, purchase ledger and treasury functions
