We are looking for an exceptional Lead Practitioner of Science to join the team here at Royton & Crompton E-ACT Academy to raise standards of teaching, learning, attainment and achievement. Responsible for all staff working within the directorship, including teaching and technical staff. 

 

Key responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Department, this post holder will be accountable for:


  • To provide pedagogical leadership in the faculty and across the academy.
  • To play a key part in raising teaching and learning standards through the quality of their own teaching, and by supporting the professional development of colleagues
  • Take an activate part in academy meetings helping to plan and develop the academy’s mission statement and policies.
  • Develop and improve pedagogy within the team and across the Academy.
  • Take a lead role in the design, delivery and implementation of performance management activities, formulating criteria for good practice in procedures.
  • Under the direction of the SLT, work to support priorities identified in the Academy Improvement Plan

 

Pay range: MPS/UPS, Plus a TLR2B plus a golden hello of £3,000.00 (to be paid after a successful probation period)

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • .Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. 
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding teaching and learning. 
  • Passion for creating an inclusive and inspiring learning environment. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Commitment to the academy’s values and ethos.
