We are looking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher. The post holder may also be responsible for a key focus area agreed locally and for implementing strategies that support that specialism. The roles and responsibility may change in line with the changing nature of the academy.


Key responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for leading the quality of education.
  • To lead and manage the task of creating and maintaining conditions in which the students can reach the highest educational standards through the delivery of the School Improvement Plan.
  • Support the vision, ethos, culture and policies of the Academy and to take responsibility for delivering this vision.
  • To be responsible for the academic progress of all students and work to identify key performance indicators in this regard.
  • To provide outstanding leadership and guidance to those line managed through regular, effective and focused line management, holding them to account for the progress, attainment and wellbeing of students in their respective areas.


Pay range: L18 - L22 - £75,675 - £83,464


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent
  • Degree in subject specialism
  • Ability to teach ‘outstanding’ lessons
  • Proven success of improving student outcomes within a school
