The Role

Job Title: Site Officer 

 

E-ACT Bristol Operations are currently seeking a full time regional Site Officer to commence employment as soon as possible once onboarding processes are complete.


The Role:

We are looking for a passionate professional to provide a responsive Site Officer service to our Bristol Academies. Reporting to the North Bristol Hub Estates Business Partner, the purpose of the job is to provide both short-notice and planned Site Officer cover to our Bristol Academies and undertake the normal Site Officer duties to support the operation of that particular Academy. This role suits individuals who are prepared to operate a flexible work pattern within the general Monday – Friday working week. This means on occasion you may be asked to undertake split shift cover although this will be minimised as much as reasonably possible. The contract on offer is all year round (52 week) 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday hours to be arranged with the Business Partner.

 

Key responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Estates Business Partner, this post holder will be accountable for: 

  • Regular routine testing of fire alarms, emergency lights and firefighting equipment
  • Maintain a high level of security across academy premises including dealing with alarm systems and liaising with security services
  • Key holding duties for locking and unlocking of premises, requiring a high attendance level.
  • Have great practical skills, being able to undertake general maintenance duties and minor repair work including, changing light bulbs/lamps, painting of doors and walls and ensuring fixtures and fittings are in good working order
  • Clean and tidy all outside spaces, paths, gullies and drains including snow clearance when required and remove graffiti from internal and/or external spaces

 

Pay range:  

 Scale Point range 12-17 (£27,711 - £30,060)


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Maths & English GCSE grades 4-9 (A-C)
  • Relevant maintenance/trade qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and how they apply in a school environment
  • Ability to act on own initiative dealing with any unexpected problems that may arise
