We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Senior leader who is experienced and passionate about working with young people with autism and complex needs to lead the Academy in the next stage of its journey. The school is an all through Academy that is situated across three sites, the role requires you to work closely with the Head of Primary and the Education Director on both an operational and strategic level.

You will be part of a high performing team of Headteachers, who are performance and impact driven reporting into the Education Director and working closely with the National Director of SEND.

Key responsibilities:


  • Provide outstanding educational vision, leadership and direction for the Academy, ensuring great pupil outcomes are achieved sustainably, and annual performance targets are met
  • Ensure the school holds ambitious expectations for all pupils with additional and special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Develop the provision of the highest possible quality of education and care, maintaining a supportive atmosphere for each pupil.
  • Establish a culture of leadership development amongst all your staff.
  • To implement the People Strategy, fostering a people-first culture that priorities engagement, impact and learning and development.


Pay range:  L25-L29 - ££89,830 - £99,067


Qualifications and Experience: 


  • Experience of being a high performing senior leader supporting students with complex SEND.
  • Successful leadership and management experience in several schools
  • Extensive knowledge of a range of Special Educational needs including autism
  • Have a clear passion for specialist autism provision which improves life chances


Skills:


  • Ability to lead and support your teachers and non teaching staff to deliver consistent high standards
  • Ability to think big, act strategically and work collaboratively as part of E-ACT
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build effective relationships across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to inform planning, target setting and academy performance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances and challenges
