Location: Birmingham City Centre - hybrid working (2 days based in office - 3 days working from home)

An exciting opportunity to join a high performing team in HR specialising in Recruitment and Onboarding within the E-ACT Trust. This detailed and varied role working with a team of Recruitment and Onboarding Officers supporting the Recruitment and Onboarding Business Partner and various key stakeholders across E-ACT.

Key responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective Recruitment and Onboarding process for new employees within the organisation. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that new hires are attracted and recruited in line with the trusts safer recruitment policy and KCSIE, also ensuring they have a positive experience as they transition into their roles and integrate into the company culture.


Reporting to the Recruitment and Onboarding Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

  • Advertising for roles across the trust, which includes liaising with the hiring managers to create and place adverts, prepare shortlisting, managing interview process and issuing offers of employment. 
  • Using the Applicant Tracking system to effectively advertise and onboard your applicants
  • Carry out all aspects of the Recruitment and Onboarding cycle in line with safer recruitment for the trust.
  • Coordinate the collection and processing of all necessary employee documentation, including employment contracts, offer documentation, Right to Work, DBS and Overseas background checks, references, certifications, and other required paperwork. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Create Single Central Register for the new hires in line with the SCR and Safer Recruitment Policy.
  • Understanding immigration policies, regulations, and requirements, as well as assessing candidates' eligibility and suitability for immigration

Pay range: SCP 21-25 £33,143 to £36,363 - all year round


Qualifications and Skills:

  • GCSE Maths and English Grade 4-9 or equivalent
  • CIPD or relevant work experience essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous eye for detail, tenacious and acting with integrity 
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding and ideally knowledge of the UKVI Immigration Skilled worker system 
  • Works collaboratively within the team and with key internal stakeholders
