The Role

E-ACT – Pastoral Manager/Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

 

Are you looking for the next step in your Safeguarding career and ready to gain more experience and have more responsibility? We are ideally looking for an enthusiastic individual who has been in the role for 1 to 2 years and ready for the next step. 

 

We are looking for a passionate professional to join our Pastoral department which looks after out students in our Academy. The role will be based at Chalfont Valley E-ACT Academy which has onsite parking.  


This role presents an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their skills in:


-    Act as a source of support, advice and expertise for all staff   

-   Regularly liaise with lead professionals for pupils receiving specialist support

-   Lead weekly safeguarding team meetings to share concerns/good practice   

-   Building strong relationships with students/families 

 

Salary: NJC 21-25. pro rata - £25,752 - £28,624

Hours - 37 per week

Weeks per year - 41

Your role will be part of the Pastoral Team for Chalfont Academy. This academy is part of the 8 academies which build up the South Region of E-ACT, these 8 Academies are both primary and secondary. The south academies are based around London, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. E-ACT has head offices based in Kettering and London. The way we like to work is to be flexible, meetings could take place on Teams one day and in a London based academy the next. We have staff that are based around the south of England and have great connections with each other through Teams and face-to-face meetings.
